The DW500 is intended for use with appliances rated up to or less than 500VA or 357 watts. Devices with lower power ratings may also be used, but this limit must not be exceeded.
This converter allows 110V or 120V appliances to operate on a 220V power supply. It does not change the frequency, so when connected to the South African mains supply, the output will remain at 50Hz.
The appliance’s wattage can be found on its input power label, typically located on the unit. Overloading the converter may cause the fuse to blow or result in damage.
If you are unsure which converter model is suitable, contact Satronics or your appliance supplier for assistance. The unit is plug-and-play—simply plug the 3-pin cord into the mains outlet and connect your appliance to the front panel.
